I suggest you ...

Charge for the darn thing if it keeps it from going under.

Look, I don't like paying for things. But I can't keep going through this. If you need people to pay, by gum, let us know.

A million times yes. When I first read about the demise of google reader, I thought . o O ( great, all these companies are going to see green and want to be the next google by offering a free product -- or worse, an ad-supported product )

Please, please let me pay for the service. You get money. I get to yell at you when stuff breaks. Everyone wins.

I'd also happily pay for the service you currently provide. The Reddit Gold pricing as suggested by Jackson Palmer below would be no obstacle, in fact I'd be prepared to go higher if it means a) stability / longevity b) keeping (even if optionally) the sane and simple interface you have now, and c) no Ads. 3 votes from me, and I'll follow Vincen's excellent $20 example in a second.

Wow. Your donation requires me to sign up for another site? Couldn't you just have the usual paypal button? (I would also probably pay a few dollars a month for a "premium" version, even if that premium version didn't have anything I needed, which is likely given that this site already does basically everything I was looking for.)

Please don't put ads in the free version, though... or cripple it...

I would pay for a premium version and the only feature I want is feeds that update every 5 minutes or less.

If charged price should be quite low (no more than 1$ per month) : it would probably get a lot of people subscribing to support the service if it is cheap enough.

I'd be okay with them having an add system. Let me pay $10 a year to banish the adds and I'd be happy.

I'd suggest you copy Reddit Gold here:

    - Some subtle ads for "free' users
    - $3.99/mo or $29.99/year to remove ads

    I know I'd pay.

It'd be great if you let people choose whether to pay for an ad-free option, or if they prefer the ad-supported.

    Let us users help you!
