Subscribe to sites that don't have feeds (page2rss/feed43)
Google Reader added this function briefly, and then removed it.
I'd be fine with you just using third-party sites like page2rss or feed43. All I'm asking is that if we paste a URL into the Subscribe box, and if you can't find a feed for that page, instead of just turning the box red (which is not a very good form of feedback, by the way), it will offer to subscribe to changes of that page via one of these sites instead, with everything filled in as automatically as possible.

Yes, please! Because I have several sites that don't use RSS, (ProductHunt doesn't have topic feeds,) and I want to be able to subscribe to a feed of just certain topics, not the whole site.

you may also use http://bitreading.com/deltafeed for the page 2 rss functionality…

I've been using http://mmmmail.com/ for a while... It solves the problem for sites that have an "email notification" form but not an rss feed.
That site is a little slow / broken though, so something integrated in The Old Reader would be great.
