Subscribe by clicking Chrome extension button.
When a site has an rss feed, the extension button should show for example a plus, to let you know that the site you are on, has a feed that you can subscribe to.
Then you should be able to right click the button and select subscribe directly.

I can't get this to work. When I click the oldreader button, I need to paste into the subscribe field to subscribe. Would be nice to be able to do wo with a simple click.

Thanks Dan,
Your link works a treat.
When using the "RSS Subscription Extension (by Google)" the complete URL should be:
http://theoldreader.com/feeds/subscribe?url=%s -

After a quick browse of the HTML source I found this comment referencing http://theoldreader.com/feeds/subscribe?url=
In Chrome using the extension "RSS Subscription Extension (by Google)" I was able to configure this URL as a subscription option. The extension passes the RSS URL to reader and adds the new feed.

This would be as simple as adding a url that would allow the url for the subscription to be taken in as a querystring parameter.
