Make font size user-adjustable
I have somewhat poor vision, and often bump font sizes up in Chrome using the CTRL+= shortcut. Unfortunately, on The Old Reader this makes the sidebars and top navbar unnecessarily huge (http://d.pr/i/JcoK). For some reason, this also causes the j,k keyboard shortcuts to function strangely (two or three keystrokes necessary to go to the next story).
Can we have a simple preference to set the font size?

Yes, please. I'm getting a very condensed font which makes things even harder to read. Wish we had some choice about size and maybe condensed or normal fonts.

This would be so helpful!

Quite right. Every time I read The Old Reader, I can't stop but question my own age of eye sight.

+1 to this :-)

I think this can learn from Google Reader which uses + or - to adjust font size of the article. Not all text on screen - only the article. That's fairly enough.

Using iPhone 3GS I have no control over font size so this feature is very important.
