FInd out why the pull-down menu is corrupting the Home page?

I appreciate that as a recent Old Reader convert I am liable to make many mistakes, but I notice that for me, using Google Chrome Beta as my browser under Windows 8-64bit, I am finding the pull down menu overlays and corrupts the text at the top right of the Home screen, and from then on. I am using the native theme.

    I is happening to me as well and I have windows 7-64 bit
