view feed from Chrome extension
with google reader, you can click the extension icon and view the feed w/o having to open the program in an internet window. can mark items as read and refresh feed, even sort by tag....almost like a shortcut.

Can only agree, all rss readers out there are missing a great chrome/chromium plugin. This would make theoldreader alot nicer than feedly, netvibes, newsblur and so on.
I would like to have a extension that shows unread feeds, able to mark it as read, go to the feed.

This is actually the main way I interact with reader - via the extension. Something new, read heading, click heading, direct to original web page.

This is the one thing I'm missing before I can happily switch over from Google Reader completely. It would also put your extension miles ahead of Feedly's.
