Make it a Chrome application
The chrome applications are not much more than a glorified bookmark, but it's nice to have the big icon on the new tab page

I've created one because I also use the New Page a lot.
I can't publish the app on Chrome Web Store because I'm not the owner of theoldreader domain but I'll show you how to install it:
1. Download the app from here: https://github.com/enricobacis/theoldreader-chrome-app/raw/master/theoldreader.crx
2. Settings icon [browser toolbar : Top-Right corner] and select Tools > Extensions
3. Locate the "crx" extension file on your computer (should be present in your 'Downloads' directory)
4. Drag and drop the file onto the Extensions page from step 3 and Install.I hope that The Old Reader team will upload it on Chrome Web Store.
