Ideally, you would be able to just save the post and mark it for reading later both are avilable via their API.

In case anyone else stumbles upon this, lamenting the fact that it has not been implemented...
Technically you can use a custom "sharing" to accomplish this (Settings > Social > Send To Services):
https://api.pinboard.in/v1/posts/add?auth_token=<username>:<api_token>&description=%{title}&url=%{url}&toread=yesBut it's wonky since it requires opening a new tab. Ideally it should be set up identically to Pocket as a Read Later service.
