"Scrolling through post marks it as read" setting per view type
It looks like some users do not like "scrolling through post marks it as read" as a global setting and would prefer being able to configure this behavior separately per view type.

I agree with this, but only in 'list view' and the post is not opened. If I scroll through a post that is fully open in 'full view', or when using the up and down buttons that do open the post, then I have seen it and it is read. But currently, when I use one of the 'next' or 'previous' shortcut keys, the item is not opened and should not be marked read.
There are actually a set of related suggestions here: the next and previous buttons should work identically to the shortcut keys and should not open the post. Space bar should open the post, and it should not advance to the 'next' post if the current focus is on a post that is not open.

I agree. Reading a list view feed displayed newest first in date order (oldest to newest) marks all posts read because you scroll past the new posts to get to the older ones...

I definitely hope to see this implemented. It would be very useful to have it mimic Google Reader's behavior, so that I can have it auto-mark-as-read only in Full View, and not in List View.
