Allow clicking on a post without scrolling to it in List View
"Clicking a post scrolls to it" option should work both in Full View and List View.

Disabling the "Clicking a post scrolls to it" option still doesn't disable automatic scrolling in list view. It's really annoying when you want to read a post that isn't the newest one.
Tested with Firefox 35 and Chrome 39, same behavior in both cases.

Yes, please fix this! List View isn't much use to me with this glitch. :(
Most of the time, I like to use Full View and scroll down, letting things get automatically marked as Read, but sometimes I want to jump ahead. If I switch to List View, however, and click on something, that does NOT mean I have "Read" everything above it.

Hi,
I don't know at what stage this was marked as completed, but automatic scrolling still occurs for me in List View.(Firefox 21.0 on Windows XP-SP3 32-bit)

Same as below happens also with Chrome 26.0.1410.64 on Windows 7 Home on different machine.

Same as below happens also with Safari 5.1.9 (6534.59.8) on same OSX machine.

Chrome 26.0.1410.65 on OSX 10.6.8.
1) Login to the Old Reader with Facebook.
2) Open Settings from the right top corner menu opening from the user name.
3) Check that the checkbox "Clicking on a post scrolls to it" is not checked.
4) Save changes.
5) Select All items from the menu on the left side.
6) Check that the items are listed in the List view
7) Click the topic of second item from top.What happens:
a) List scrolls so that the topic of the second item is at the top of the list.
b) Second item is opened into full view.Expected:
a) List stays put so that the first item is at the top
b) Second item is opened into full view. -
We could not reproduce this issue. "Clicking a post scrolls to it" option seems to work properly in all browsers that we have access to.
If anybody comes up with a reliable way to reproduce this, please let us know, and we will investigate this further.
