A single responsive design is much more sensible than an app based approach - easier to support for you and no requirement to tie into some crazy store infrastructure with approval.
The defunct Google Reader works very well in this regard. I want a single RSS reader for my phone and PC.
By the way, one of the reasons I am here from Google Reader is that your competitors "apps" don't support older Android phones, so I can't install their apps even if I wanted to. Your minimal version is the LEAST BAD of the options so far.
I am rooting for you, your mobile approach is going to help you a lot in the RSS reader wars in the next several months.
