Have "O" set to "expand and collapse post" and have only "V" set to "Open post in a new tab".
I wanted to make a suggestion. Instead of having both "O and V" set to "Open post in a new tab", why not change it so that "O" is set to "expand and collapse post" (like it did in Google Reader as well as AOL and Diggs reader). And just have only "V" set to "Open post in a new tab". for some reason I thought it was this way when I first started using "TheOldReader" or it could just be my imagination due to being used to that configuration. I feel this would be more keyboard friendly for people…

"Pin" my favorite feeds so I can read them first instead of putting them on a separate folder
I know I can create a "favorites" folder but I have many feeds, well organized, and I would like to be able to "favorite" whichever I need instead of keep changing their folders depending on my interests. This way, I could just mark the ones I want to read first and see them first, and then if I change my mind I only have to unpin them. Thanks

Offline Access
Allow the web site to work offline. I have done this on my site with HTML5 local storage and cache. Though The Old Reader is more complicated, I still think it can be done, and would be very useful.

let us sort starred and liked by feed
The starred and liked systems are great to have (especially now having two different ones), but as they grower they are harder to browse back. I would like to be able to sort them by feed of origin to easily find, say, recipes among the programming tips.

log in
Use regular log in fields, rather than whatever it is you do with the overlay. Neither Keypass nor Lastpass detects the fields, which is a huge annoyance.

Buy premium account as a gift
Well, this is it, I'd like to have an option to pay someone else's premium account as a gift to the person.

Have an option for' mark read to here'
many RSS readers allow you to hide what you've already scrolled thru so you can close it at any point & go back. Here we have to read all the way thru & then mark 'all as read'.

I always appreciate your works.
Keyshortcuts in THE OLD READER often irritate me.
So, I want to a function to disable all of them.Warm regards,

The new font sucks. It is unreadable.

Get emails delivered to Newsletter subscriptions
Many the blogs I read don't support RSS, but do send their posts in a monthly newsletter.
The ability to subscribe to an news letter with an oldreader would be useful.

Take DPI into consideration before collapsing content below sidebar
On a Nexus 7 the content is shown beneath the list of feeds when held in portrait mode despite a horizontal resolution of 800px.
On a desktop with a regular monitor, no collapsing occurs when resizing the browser window to 800px wide.
I am assuming this is due to chrome reporting a lower horizontal resolution to your css media queries due to the higher display density. I have observed that your stylesheets already take dpi into account for your logo, so I am merely suggesting that you do the same for your layout.

Multi-Column View
Having a multi-column view to quickly scroll through feeds was something I loved in the Sage extension for Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/sage/). It was sorely lacking in Google Reader until I found a user style for it (http://userstyles.org/styles/21444/google-reader-multicolumn-expanded-view). Having at least two, but ideally as many columns as defined by user preference, as an option in Old Reader would make quickly skimming large feeds a lot easier.

minimize google account access levels requested for login
If i look in my google profile, at the list of services authorized to access my account, most if not all sites that uses open ID for login only require 'Sign in using your google account'.
Your site requires more - 'Google+ You'.
If you truly only need openid login (you have marked http://theoldreader.uservoice.com/forums/187017-feature-requests/suggestions/3743312-allow-me-to-authenticate-via-google-without-giving as completed, after all) please only require that level of access. It is good that you stopped requiring access to contacts, but not enough.3 votes -

Add different viewing/formatting panels.
Introduce view options that give say a txt only options or one that is formatted for news feeds (e.g. removes websites advertising and menus, etc), one that displays the original page in the original formatting, etc

implement basic syntax highlighting for pre, code and/or samp tags
I subscribe to a growing number of programming-related blogs, and posts with larger pieces of code become much less comfortable to read than on the origin website. I think (even very basic) syntax highlighting would remedy this.

"Gallery" view for image-centric feeds
I think the Feedly/Blogroll "gallery" or "magazine" view is stupid for most things, which is why I'm using The Old Reader instead of those, but it does make sense for feeds that are just images, like my Flickr friends.
So after implementing "Per-feed and per-folder display settings" https://theoldreader.uservoice.com/forums/187017-feature-requests/suggestions/3738257-per-feed-and-per-folder-display-settings, it would be nice if one of those display settings was "gallery" for displaying lots of image posts as compactly as possible.
