allow an option to not show a feed in the 'dead links' section
I am subscribed to feeds that are very infrequently updated. I'd like to be able to mark a feed so that it won't show up in my dead feeds list.

List duplicate feeds for removal.
After a recent import and feed-adding-spree, I've ended up with a lot of duplicate feeds. Most of them are due to the websites changing their feed URL, and some seem to have the same feed URL.
It would be great if TOR could find feeds with the same posts and provide a list so the duplicates can be easily reviewed and removed.
Possibly also show feeds which are a subset of other feeds, so you can remove the subset feed if it's covered by a full feed already.
Let me know if you need more information :-)

let us sort starred and liked by feed
The starred and liked systems are great to have (especially now having two different ones), but as they grower they are harder to browse back. I would like to be able to sort them by feed of origin to easily find, say, recipes among the programming tips.

Thank you for implementing Send To button, but I would like to have whole article included in the body of mail, not just link.

Offline Access
Allow the web site to work offline. I have done this on my site with HTML5 local storage and cache. Though The Old Reader is more complicated, I still think it can be done, and would be very useful.

Rename feed from feed page
I know you can double click on the feed name in the sidebar, but with lots of subscriptions I don't want to have to go hunting for it, I'd rather just rename it inline on the feed page.

Show "just read" posts
From the home page, add a way to see the most recently read items (say, 50 or 100 of them — or arbitrarily far back). Sometimes I'm reading quickly and I accidentally go onto another feed, skipping past something I actually want to read, and it's extremely difficult to find the skipped item again.

I would like to see the search feature improved
Whenever I use the search feature it never finds what I want, without using "AND" in between each word. And even when I do use it like that it doesn't find all of the posts regarding those keywords.
For example I search for "This Week In SEO" without quotes it gives me this:
http://screencast.com/t/AlGynZg1T2
Not at all what I'm searching for.
When I search for "This Week In SEO" with quotes it gives me the same results:
http://screencast.com/t/AfAFA9TaEven searching for "This" "Week" "In" "SEO" with quotes around every word gives me the same results:
http://screencast.com/t/dqCWojLnRoeq
Only when I search…

Add Option to not render attachments for certain feeds
I have some soup.io feeds. Now the guys there mostly do image feeds by displaying the image once in the feed AND as an attachment. Now they show up twice in theoldreader. I can use "n" to scroll to the next one, but it still would be nice to be able to do that!

mark all as read
Hi from Portugal. I started using old reader for a few days now and i have a suggestion.
For me, the "mark all as read" button is too close to the "cancel subscription". Suggest you place it near the other buttons on the right.
Also, sometimes there's a lag from mark all as read to the updated number on the left side. Keep up the good work and thank you...1 vote -
Removing oldest read posts instead of oldest total
There is a limit of around 300 posts per feed. When a feed has more than that the oldest posts are being deleted. Could you please change it so that the oldest read posts are being deleted instead? I have feeds where some articles are longer and some of them are shorter. Usually I don't have much time and I leave longer articles for later and check shorter ones. In this case I'm way under 300 posts cap in my unread posts but the oldest unread are being deleted, because there are also read posts between which I don't care…

Stop stealing the K key
I would be happy to opt-out of all keyboard shortcuts, but this one is particularly irritating, as it prevents you from closing the browser window in the most straightforward way.

Store original Atom metadata
Do not strip feed/entry/category nodes of Atom RSS node.
Famous Q&A network Stackexchange.com publishes many RSS feeds.
Their entries contain tag "category" with very important information (tags of a question stored in this entry).
<entry> <id>http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/106036/what-under-documented-features-have-you-stumbled-upon-in-mavericks</id> <title type="text">What un(der)-documented features have you stumbled upon in Mavericks? – apple.stackexchange.com</title> <category scheme="http://apple.stackexchange.com/feeds/tags" term="osx" /> <category scheme="http://apple.stackexchange.com/feeds/tags" term="hidden-features" /> <category scheme="http://apple.stackexchange.com/feeds/tags" term="mavericks" /> </entry>Unfortunately this information is stripped from API (only TOR categories are left). TOR clients can't therefore use this information and are significantly less useful then they could be.

"Pin" my favorite feeds so I can read them first instead of putting them on a separate folder
I know I can create a "favorites" folder but I have many feeds, well organized, and I would like to be able to "favorite" whichever I need instead of keep changing their folders depending on my interests. This way, I could just mark the ones I want to read first and see them first, and then if I change my mind I only have to unpin them. Thanks

security: http login page should redirect to https! please.
The login page should use SSL/TLS certs to encrypt data in transit between the browser and Old Reader's servers. HTTP version should redirect to SSL/TLS site. Ideally all of the traffic to the app would be encrypted, but a bare minimum should be the login page.

to back-up her/his subscriptions
At the bottom of settings page is written: "Unhappy? You can export your feeds as OPML file and cancel your account at any time." But To export as OPML doesn't necessary means leaving the service, it may simply mean that someone wants to back-up her/his subscriptions.
