eliminate redundancies between shares and reshares
I feel like I read the same shared article every time it's re-shared, which fills my following folder with unwanted redundancy. I only want to read something once, unless it has received new comments. Can an item have an original sharer and a list of resharers (without violating people's privacy concerns, obvs)

Just like Google reader, allow for fullscreen viewing of the content without any other distractions by toggling the [F] key.

Limited text width to improve readability
Google Reader uses a max width for entry text, presumably to improve readability. This makes it easier to read posts, as the eye does not need to move across as much of the screen to get to the next line. Essentially it makes the text width similar to a novel.

Refresh all feeds
There should be a "Refresh all feeds" button.
197 votes“Refresh all feeds” button can only work in a reasonable amount of time for users that have a very small number of feeds (10-15 at most). An additional requirement will be for RSS feeds that are refreshed to serve their XML files very quickly.
Please keep in mind that voting for this feature, you automatically vote for imposing a very low limit of feed count per user.

"Mute" button should allow user to avoid getting any comment notifications for a specific post.

Users should be able to edit a comment during 2 minutes after posting it.

Unload posts that have been scrolled out
It looks like google reader unloads posts that the user have scrolled out. This helps to maintain low memory usage and stops any running audio/video embeds. We should try to do this as well.

Pocket: tagging
After sending the post to Pocket we should present user a separate form that will allow him/her to enter pocket tags. We could also store a cached list of tags and show input suggestions, however this will be quite cumbersome, because the only way to get the list of all tags is to fetch all user items.

Feed title should contain a counter of unread posts, probably somewhere near the "Mark all as read" button.
