Pause (or turn off) feed updates
I'd like to be able to pause (or turn off) the updating of a feed. I have a number of job search feeds that pipe in search results from Monster, Careerbuilder, etc. into TOR. This took a long time to set up and I don't want to lose it, but I have a job now so I don't need the feeds to update and clutter up my list of feeds. In essence, I would keep track of the feed even if I don't want the content from it right now. This would also be to your benefit by reducing the number of update requests. One option would be to have a "Do not update" folder and any feed in this folder would not be updated. Another option would be to turn off updating for a folder which would turn off updating for all feeds inside the folder. Thanks for your consideration.

I concur, this would be great.

Despite Mike's comments, I'll add a +1 for this feature. I don't even think Google Reader had this functionality, but I always desperately wanted it. There are often times when I am really busy for a few days/weeks, and thus I would love the ability to "deactivate" those feeds that aren't of the utmost importance to me, in the interest of maximizing my time (i.e. reduce the number of items to read). Then, once I free up again, I can simply reactivate those feeds and have everything back that I like to keep up on.

One problem with this is, in 2-3 years time, when you might want to start job hunting again, those URLs may not work any more.
Also, you can always save the URLs you're using in email or something.
