Despite Mike's comments, I'll add a +1 for this feature. I don't even think Google Reader had this functionality, but I always desperately wanted it. There are often times when I am really busy for a few days/weeks, and thus I would love the ability to "deactivate" those feeds that aren't of the utmost importance to me, in the interest of maximizing my time (i.e. reduce the number of items to read). Then, once I free up again, I can simply reactivate those feeds and have everything back that I like to keep up on.
