Position in import queue not visible any more
I used to see my position in the import queue. It was once around 30.000. In time it went down to around 12.000. But now, when I click the import link the only thing I see is the following text:
We find feed import to be quite resource intensive procedure, so our system only allows a limited number of import operations to run at the same time. Currently all available slots are busy, so your import operation will be queued.
Doesn't indicate any progress and it doesn't look good this way. Please bring back printing the queue position.

@Old Reader: Ah, thanks for the info - hadn't seen that yet. Disregard my mail then.

@Libor - just saw that.
@Old Reader Team:
I fully understand that your service is under heavy stress and that import speed is slow. I started at 33,000+ and waited patiently. What I'm talking about now is that it doesn't seem to move _at all_ or takes over a day for a single step, which I'm fairly certain is not normal as it has been much fast until now. Rick Stavanja below even reported moving backwards in the queue, which shouldn't be possible unless some new users are added with higher priority. I'd have appreciated to have the ability to explain my point instead of the idea being deleted immediately. -

Since this is marked as completed, I've opened another ticket for people who are stuck/moving backwards here: http://theoldreader.uservoice.com/forums/187017-feature-requests/suggestions/3813005-import-queue-position-stuck-moving-backwards-for

I don't appear to be stuck at all. My problem is that the number of people ahead of me in the queue has actually been going up over the past few days.
I started at well over 30k and it steadily dropped to just over 3,000. But the past few days it grew to over 3,300.
I'm a web developer and I understand the issues necessary to dramatically scale a service up, so I'm fine being patient -- as long as things seem to be moving forward.
I'm also fine paying to support a service that I derive value from. But I'd feel better about doing that if I can really determine if I can actually get that value.

it looks to me that the closer you are to 0 the slower processing of queue is :)....then after several months you will be stucked at 1 :)

Still at 731 here as well. Would it be appropriate to open a new "idea" for this?

Still 64 for me.

Christian Syska commented
Today it has moved again, but only two steps down in the last ~4 hours.

Same here, last Sunday I was about to reach 20 000 then suddenly next day I was 7050 (I can see the queue). And now it does now almost move - I am 7030 after 2 days.

Same problem here, stuck at 64 :)

I can see my position, but it has been stuck at 733 for at least 8 hours now (checked this morning, and before that was on thursday or friday - don't know anything about the time inbetween). Has it stopped moving or is it only printing out the wrong value?

I'm experiencing the same issue, and it's especially frustrating as my place in the queue was under 1000 when I was last able to see it.
This was quite some time ago - I don't recall exactly, but I think it's certainly over a week, so I'd have expected my import to have finished by now.
