I cannot get this to work in Firefox or Safari on Mac 10.6/
As a workaround I have exported feeds, edited the OPML and then import again

u know although renaming either a feed or a folder is mentioned in how-to, it doesn't work too. By doing so, it just keeps refreshing instead. I've tried several times. I use Chrome.

I cannot rename any feed. Using Chrome with Windows 8. Also didn't work with IE.

doesn't work properly (in the netherlands, with chrome). double-click, click again, click click click. sometimes it works, then it's gone again.

FWIW, I have not been able to reproduce this error myself lately. I use Pale Moon 20.1, which is a Windows-optimized code fork of Firefox that also leaves out some UI changes (while still incorporating security and page rendering improvements, etc.). Seems like this bug is one of those awful ones whose invoking conditions are very obscure since it seems to be happening to people at random :-/

Ah ok the mistake is that double klick works only in the sidebar title. But I expected the large feed title to work this way.

We've checked this in lastest Chrome and Firefox on OSX and Windows XP, and it seems to work fine.

Confirming what Сергей Андреев said - the edit box goes away automatically (rather than waiting for Enter) and very quickly, which makes it difficult to make the desired change.

It does not work with Firefox 20.0 edit box appears only fo a second. However renaming works with Google Chrome.
