not mangle links in articles
I would prefer that you not modify links in articles. I want to be able to open a link in the background, but no matter how I click a link (left, middle, right) I am only able to open it in a foreground link.

Extend support for Atom Feeds (HTML in items)
Atom feeds can contain xhtml directly within their summary elements, via <summary type="xhtml">. TOR currently strips any tags when displaying these items and outputs only the text content.
Example: "Dashboard Feeds" generated by GitLab.

Access to "liked" posts thru API
I'm using gReader Android app. Since closure of google reader I'm looking for replacement which is supported by my app and has decent web interface. Yes, TOR has most readable and usable interface in my opinion, and what is most important - lightweight when compared to "creply floud". And it works well with gReader, except that, citing gReader's author: "API doesn't support marking as starred (liked) yet". So I politely ask - is this will be ever supported?

List View Bulk Action: Mark Some as Read
When in List View, I would love to have little check boxes so I can do a bulk action, marking several posts as "Read" at once WITHOUT losing all the other posts. Please?
Bloglines has this feature, but it doesn't have Search (that I've been able to find). You have Search, but no bulk action (unless I want to mark everything as read, which I don't!) If only I could find a reader that had both...

do not remember me (my email and password) automatically when I register, but rather offer it as an option (“Keep me signed in” checkbox).
I’m a news junky and in order for me not to get constantly distracted by checking news, my wife lets me to check the reader at night, entering with her password, which I don’t know (we have only one computer). This is impossible with the current TOR because it remembers me/her instantly, and whenever I enter theoldreader.com, I am immediately led to my account with all the subscriptions.

Add an option to fit images to width on a feed-by-feed basis.
Add an option to fit images to width on a feed-by-feed basis.
This would avoid the need to either squint at tiny images (e.g. comics) or use an excessive page zoom (which may interfere with other feeds).

"Following" should show as a folder in the API
I am using gReader, and unless it's a failure of their implementation (which is possible), there isn't a way to view anything from people I'm following. I should be able to access each of the people I'm following as separate feeds under a "Following" folder (or "tag" as gReader calls them).

Collapse article you're not interested ASAP wherever you want, even in the middle of an article
When you're in the middle of article, and you show no interests on it. You want to collapse the article, back to the list view to overall rest of article, but when you try to click top-middle position to collapse it, you realize you've to scroll page up, so you can collapse it with its title. Or you've to scroll page down, expand next title and collapse it again to have an overall view. And these useless scroll up/down, expand/collapse is really crazy.

deduplicate posts across feeds
Sometimes you get the same post from different feeds - mainly because of planet * feed aggregators. It would be nice if such posts were only displayed once.
The comparison should probably be based only on the message content itself, as posts titles and other metadata may vary.

Fix the behavior of the 'm' key
The help screen describes the m key as "read/unread a post". I think the "m" key should be equivalent to clicking the "Mark as unread" button on the currently expanded post, but it is not. If I am viewing posts in list mode, and I open a post that is not the topmost one, and then I scroll all the way up using the mouse wheel, and then I press the m key, it will actually mark the topmost post as read even though I have not even opened it yet. Instead, I would expect that pressing the 'm' key…

Have an option to remove images from news feeds
I like the old reader because it's pretty clean. However, it's displaying images in some feeds eventhough it only uses up bandwith, makes the layout look ugly and it doesn't help me scrolling through a large number of news items.

Mark an article as read if I middle-click its main link.
Currently, left-clicking the main link at the top of an article entry will mark that article as read. This opens the article in a new tab, but also focuses the new tab, forcing me to switch tabs back to The Old Reader if I want to open more than one thing before I actually read them (which I pretty much always do). A middle-click in all major browsers opens the link in a new tab, but keeps the current tab selected. If this also marked the article as read, it would be the most efficient option by a wide margin!

Sort feeds in a folder by number of unread posts
I like to go through my folders by reading feeds with the most unread posts first. At the moment I just scroll through the folder's listing but this is a little inconvenient when the folder has a lot of feeds. This suggestion is similar to others which suggest some sort of folder sorting. It'd be nice if this were an option.

I would like if http://array.se/feed/ doesn't make the feed list break
Not much of a feature request but, it's quite annoying when you have to reclick the categories to be able to continue scrolling

Store original Atom metadata
Do not strip feed/entry/category nodes of Atom RSS node.
Famous Q&A network Stackexchange.com publishes many RSS feeds.
Their entries contain tag "category" with very important information (tags of a question stored in this entry).
<entry> <id>http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/106036/what-under-documented-features-have-you-stumbled-upon-in-mavericks</id> <title type="text">What un(der)-documented features have you stumbled upon in Mavericks? – apple.stackexchange.com</title> <category scheme="http://apple.stackexchange.com/feeds/tags" term="osx" /> <category scheme="http://apple.stackexchange.com/feeds/tags" term="hidden-features" /> <category scheme="http://apple.stackexchange.com/feeds/tags" term="mavericks" /> </entry>
Unfortunately this information is stripped from API (only TOR categories are left). TOR clients can't therefore use this information and are significantly less useful then they could be.
