Undo last action
One of the features that Google Reader was lacking is undoing previous action. I think that every software should have such option. I've had situations where I'd want to get back in time just for a split second. Marking all articles as read might have you lose some hair. Dragging and dropping a feed to wrong folder can make you wonder "where did that go". I am aware that undoing complicated action might not be a trivial task, but it surely will be satisfying feeling for an end user when he realizes that he doesn't have to spend half an…

Space bar should work like in Google Reder
Space is the ultimate navigation tool in Google Reader. It works like the N key but when the post is not fully visible, it scrolls down instead of jumping to the next post. And then at the end of the feed it jumps directly to ne next feed.
This there things allow me to navigate and read my news very fast and with only one key.

Links in Firefox open in Background tabs
When I control-click a link in a post it opens in a new tab, but it takes me to that tab. Then I have to make my way back to TOR. Instead, have the link open in a tab in the background. This happens in Chrome but not in FF for some reason.

Extend support for Atom Feeds (HTML in items)
Atom feeds can contain xhtml directly within their summary elements, via <summary type="xhtml">. TOR currently strips any tags when displaying these items and outputs only the text content.
Example: "Dashboard Feeds" generated by GitLab.

Remove Facebook
I added support/allowed access to my facebook account, but now I want to remove all linkage to that. All I see is the option to remove it from my profile. I want, however, to remove all traces of facebook from my reader.

make logging in easier and possible with the keyboard only (without mouse click).
It would be great if I could store a link to theoldreader.com that already includes the email address I wanted to use for logging in. For example Google reader supported links like reader.google.com/?email=my@address.com, in which case the email address was automatically filled in and the password field focused.
Also a similar effect could be achieved if at least there was a keyboard shortcut or direct link to the login page (eliminating the need to grab the mouse and click after entering the url).1 vote -

Menu option to move a feed into another category
When you have hundreds of feeds, drag and drop isn't really a sensible option to organise feeds, especially when you imported them from Google - Can you please have a menu option like Reader did to pop a feed into a different category?

Keyboard-controlled interface for subscription management
TheOldReader is not completely designed following the WAI WCAG 2.0 and WAI-ARIA for rich internet applications. Please consider including keyboard-controlled interface, and not mouse-only, with descriptive labels, for having the subscription management also accessible to blind users: adding folders, moving feeds to folders, deleting feeds/folders, searching feeds to add. It is important do not consider it as a low-priority.

not mangle links in articles
I would prefer that you not modify links in articles. I want to be able to open a link in the background, but no matter how I click a link (left, middle, right) I am only able to open it in a foreground link.

Mark item as read when opening it via keyboard shortcut
If I open an item in a new tab/window, I don't want to also have to mark it as read. If I open it, it's obviously for reading. The keyboard shortcuts make it easy enough to mark something as unread if a user wants to open something without marking it as read, but the default should assume that "opening" == "reading".

Refresh button and 'r' key not working the same
The 'r' key does not refresh my feeds. If I press 'r', the screen fades for a moment, then returns, but does not update the feed. If I then immediately click the 'Refresh' button, I get several new items in the feed. This happens in many feeds, but one example is: http://rss.briefing.com/Investor/RSS/StoryStocks.xml. Please fix

Find As You Type (type ahead find) Firefox
If you have Find As You Type (1) turned on in Firefox some keyboard shortcuts are broken.
I think most, if not all the g + something don't work.
Some work and don't activate Find As You Type ex: j, k
Some work but active Find As You Type: 1, 2You can try the same thing in Google Reader and their keyboard shortcuts (both single and multi-key) work without activating Find As You Type. So I believe there's a way to make a web app work with it?

Publicly share/export folders
I am a web developer that has been using Google Reader as an RSS feed aggregator, that then provides specific aggregated feeds to display on websites. To give an example, I have aggregated about 30 different feeds providing news about the media in Greece. I then take the single, aggregated folder from Google Reader, and using a script on my website, all of the articles from that folder are displayed, in a customized format that matches the design and layout of the site.
I'm not a professional, so some of the technical terminology and understanding may elude me, but through…
