Make a way to mark all items as read
I am way behind in looking at my feeds and am overwhelmed by the number of items there are. In Google's Reader there was an overall "Mark as Read" button that applied to ALL the unread items in my feed. I'd like to see something like that so I don't have to click on each feed separately and mark all those items as read. Thanks.
1 voteThis feature already exists. Look for the button titled “Mark all as read”.

Notify before deleteing
So i guess all my feeds got "reset" because of this:
http://theoldreader.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/146276-how-many-posts-per-feed-do-you-store-You should really notify you users before doing that, I got really annoyed when logging in and all my feeds where reset. Now I don't think i can trust you any more...

Fix the 'b' keyboard command
As of recently, pressing 'b' on the keyboard opens in new tab and not in new background tab.
1 voteChrome recently removed the ability to do this in Javascript. However, we’ve worked around the issue using The Old Reader Notifier extension for Chrome. If you install the extension, it will restore the “b” shortcut. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/the-old-reader-notifier/flnadglecinohkbmdpeooblldjpaimpo?hl=en

Make default scroll setting to "mark as read in Full View only"
I'm assuming that most people (like me) who use List View don't want articles to be automatically marked as read when we scroll past a list to select what to read.
For me, it's very disconcerting as it's very easy to just scroll through dozens of articles and lose track of what was read/unread.
1 voteThis is already the default setting for new users. However, when we implemented the setting, we left all existing users as “always” as to not change the behavior people were accustomed to.

Don't "kill" sponsored posts (allow to be showed again with show all posts).
Sponsored posts are quite targeted and useful (at least to me & till today;) but once are read they are missing and show all posts doesn't show them any more.
I think will be no harm if they are treated same as posts (or keep them in a special folder for future reference)1 voteYou can now see an archive of our Sponsored Posts here:
https://theoldreader.com/posts/sponsored_archive
You can get to it from a link titled “Sponsored Posts” in the drop down when you hover over your user name in the upper right hand corner of the site.

Do you have no keystrokes??
If not, then... WHY NOT????
1 voteYes, we do have keyboard shortcuts. Hit the “h” key or the “?” key to see a list of available commands.

Is there something that can be done about the rash of obvious spammers joining and friending people?
I've had 6 people start following me this week who are obvious spammers, and there doesn't seem to be any way to avoid, dismiss, or report them.
1 voteWe have removed this spammer. For future reference, you can require all new followers to be approved. In the settings page on the “Social” tab, check “Protect my shared posts”. We’ll continue to monitor for spammers and should the issue continue we’ll work on a solution.

fix the log in with Google option.
I don't understand how it remains unavailable for so long. If you think no one is using this option, just take it down from your log in page.
1 voteWe apologize for the delay. The Google authentication should be functional again. Please let us know if you are still having issues!

Trending Sort?
Trending doesn't seem to follow the user's setting "Posts order." I don't know if this is intentional or the sort order is based off some magic trending algorithm.
0 votesTrending is sorted by popularity – i.e. by the number of likes of each post.

Add "1 day" to "mark items as read older than" drop down list
I subscribed to some sites that are updated very often (mostly news sites). I still prefer reading those sites via The Old Reader instead of visiting them manually. But only the articles of today are interesting, so marking all articles that are not from today as read, would be a nice option.
0 votesThis option is now available in the dropdown.
