.. bigger preview pictures for youtube feeds (like it was in google reader).
But please do not use the actual video as feed content like "feedly" did since that takes much too long to load if you only want to quickly look through your feeds.

to enhance the function of SPACE
just like google reader, SPACE key can open posts, scroll, and then the next feed by order if there is nothing new in the late feed.

Google Calendar feed coming through in German
Looks like you are stripping the "?hl=en" from the end of my Google Calendar feed and instead adding "?max-results=25". For whatever reason, this is making the "Where/When/Description" labels to get posted to The Old Reader in German rather than English.

Put a "mark all as read" button at the bottom of the list of posts.
If there are a lot of long posts it takes a long time to scroll all the way back to the top on Android.

Space bar should work like in Google Reder
Space is the ultimate navigation tool in Google Reader. It works like the N key but when the post is not fully visible, it scrolls down instead of jumping to the next post. And then at the end of the feed it jumps directly to ne next feed.
This there things allow me to navigate and read my news very fast and with only one key.

keyboard shortcut for next new post
Since the feeds are updated with posts at differing times, there are new posts that get lost among already read/old/recent posts when the reader updates. Instead of assigning j,n/k,p for next and previous posts, it would be convenient to have the ability to jump to the next new or unread post with (n,p) and then keep (j,k) for next and previous post.

Extend support for Atom Feeds (HTML in items)
Atom feeds can contain xhtml directly within their summary elements, via <summary type="xhtml">. TOR currently strips any tags when displaying these items and outputs only the text content.
Example: "Dashboard Feeds" generated by GitLab.

make logging in easier and possible with the keyboard only (without mouse click).
It would be great if I could store a link to theoldreader.com that already includes the email address I wanted to use for logging in. For example Google reader supported links like reader.google.com/?email=my@address.com, in which case the email address was automatically filled in and the password field focused.
Also a similar effect could be achieved if at least there was a keyboard shortcut or direct link to the login page (eliminating the need to grab the mouse and click after entering the url).1 vote -

Let me move feeds into hidden folders
When I have "Show only those folders/feeds that have unread items" checked, I can't move new feed subscriptions into hidden folders.
When I try to drag a feed into a folder, all the hidden folders should be temporarily displayed.

Improve keyboard next/previous subscription or folder
When I press shift-j or shift-k after I empty a feed and it disappears from the list of feeds, instead of starting from the top of my feeds list, it should start from where it left off. I only show unread feeds, so maybe it works properly when that is off.

Hide who my followers are.
Need to be able to hide who my followers are for safety reasons. Same reason that G+ got into so much trouble at first.

not mangle links in articles
I would prefer that you not modify links in articles. I want to be able to open a link in the background, but no matter how I click a link (left, middle, right) I am only able to open it in a foreground link.

Ensure website layout is accessible for screen readers
Use header tags and alt text where necessary to ensure a great experience for blind computer users

Keep all unread posts, not only the newest ones when not using Reader for a while
When one is offline during holidays they might want to see all the news from the period of time, not only the newest ones. Keep all the unread posts.

Don't hide scroll bars
On a PC without a fancy scroll function it is rather hard to scroll up and down the subscription list. You need to move the mouse to where you think the scroll bar is and then look up and down the screen for a small blob of green. Ideally the scroll bar should not be hidden no matter where the pointer is, and the rest of the bar to be a slightly different colour to the background. As we all know just because Google have started doing it does not make it right.

Refresh button and 'r' key not working the same
The 'r' key does not refresh my feeds. If I press 'r', the screen fades for a moment, then returns, but does not update the feed. If I then immediately click the 'Refresh' button, I get several new items in the feed. This happens in many feeds, but one example is: http://rss.briefing.com/Investor/RSS/StoryStocks.xml. Please fix

make windows phone browsers work
Currently when going to the old reader on windows phone you get an exact look like using a desktop browser. More specifically: feed list on the left and on the right the stories. However if you have a long list of feeds in your menu you can't scroll all the way down so it's not usable.
On Android you get it nicely under each other (which isn't optimized but at least works).
I guess recognizing mobile IE and giving it the same rendering as Chrome on Android should do the trick.
Thanks,
Jorn
