  1. i am having a question to ask

    i am having 13 seperate emailids which i find them very difficult to manags, want to reuce them to say three or four emails
    can you help me how to go about it so that i can then peacefully mange my email ids. tanks and regards

  4. document your subscription plans

    I read the home page, the "learn more" / "Product tour" and I can find no mention of plans available or the cost. The only hint I got was the option to try "premium" free for a month on the signup page with an explanation that there are larger plans.

    I'd like use something I can support financially, but I'd like to know the cost up front.

  7. importing posts from tumblr and other "closed" social networks ?

    hello, i've just logged in after years, and was struck by the diversity and range of stuff on old internet blogs.

    Sadly a lot of these have died or moved on to social media platforms.
    Perhaps if there was a way to get posts from closed networks onto reader we could get a taste of the old internet without getting sucked into closed platforms and eternal scrolling.
    It's quite striking how much we have lost in the last couple of years.

    Maybe there's a different approach ? The current product is perfect but perhaps if there was a way to…

  8. Bug with youtube favicon

    When I imported some youtube feeds from an opml file they have the url like so:
    https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=XXXXX

    However, I currently have the seem feed in my rss that's:
    http://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=XXXXX

    The problem is only the http one has a YT favicon. The https one ends up with a generic rss thumbnail. Since the http one redirects to https they should both have the same thumbnail.

  9. Changing font size within the article area

    Would be a very helpful feature for accessibility without having to change the whole page structure by page zoom which affects the subscription column, buttons and overall readability.

    I did cancel the subscribtion but you did not give me confirmation and you did not cancel but you still debited me. I do not want the subscription and I want the debit refunded to me

  13. Get emails delivered to Newsletter subscriptions

    Many the blogs I read don't support RSS, but do send their posts in a monthly newsletter.
    The ability to subscribe to an news letter with an oldreader would be useful.

  14. M\ake it possible to log problems directly rather than having to enter it here.

    I'm a paying user, and I am getting 405 errors when I try to log in, or to do a "forgot password" (which I haven't, but was trying to see if I could actually make something work).

    If i don't spend 2 hours to download just one podcast mp3,
    I won't be able to get one.

    So i would call play.podtrac.com and traffic.libsyn.com are unreliable.

    Support@theoldreader.com reject my msg.

    Otherwise, it is good.

  16. Fix Shift/Ctrl-Click opens the target on the current tab

    Hello!

    I have a problem with the web interface of TheOldReader. In almost all web browsers users can control where a clicked link should be opened:

    • Control+Click to a URL opens the link in a new browser tab;
    • Shift+Click to a URL opens the link in a new browser window.

    That works in TheOldReader if I click on the title of an article. Unfortunately, TheOldReader tries to enforce a different behavior. If links are clicked inside an article TheOldReader opens the link in the current tab which is unexpected and very inconvenient.

  17. The "Star" button does not remove the added article from Pocket after deleting it.

    Currently, flagging an article as an asterisk adds it to the Pocket app. After removing the asterisk, the article is also removed from Pocket. Can this be changed?

  18. Mark posts above currently displayed post as read (similar to "older than" but not by date)

    This is a little similar to https://theoldreader.uservoice.com/forums/187017-feature-requests/suggestions/4149552-list-view-bulk-action-mark-some-as-read, except that I think having to mark checkboxes on each post would be incredibly tedious for the use case I have in mind (especially on mobile). https://theoldreader.uservoice.com/forums/187017-feature-requests/suggestions/3803731-provide-a-partial-mark-as-read-mechanism-for-list is also somewhat similar, although that appears to have been "completed" in a way other than what I have in mind here.

    As described in the second post, I would like to be able to mark only part of a folder as read, with a behavior similar to "Mark all as read Older than..." feature, but without reference to a specific age of post, rather…

    1. User frustration
    2. It gives the impression you don't do regular housekeeping
    3. It can harm the credibility of the website
