A way to "undo" Mark All As Read.
I've accidentally hit it too many times. I know people complained about the "are you sure?" dialogue box-- which blows my mind, since I'd LIKE an "are you sure?" pop up-- but maybe a way to ctrl-z it would solve the same problem?

Specify prefered MIME type in Accept header when fetching feeds
Currently The Old Reader fetches feeds with an "Accept: /" HTTP header.
Some servers return content in different formats on a single URL depending on the Accept HTTP header. The current value of The Old Reader's header say that it doesn't care about the format. If the server's default format is not RSS or Atom, this makes it impossible to subscribe to such a feed in The Old Reader.
The Old Reader should specify in the Accept HTTP header that it prefers the "application/atom+xml" and "application/rss+xml" over other MIME types.

Search feed titles
It would be nice if search could also display a list of feed names that matched the criteria, to allow me to get to a particular feed easily.
Currently, if I need to copy a feed URL and it has no unread posts, then I have to go to: Settings > Untick unread only > Save > Scroll to find the feed I want > Copy URL > Settings > Retick unread only > Save.

Pinned items
Pinned items remain in the feed even after using 'Mark all as read'
It is different to Starred items as you aren't forced to view your pinned items confusingly all mixed together, they remain in their feed until manually unpinned.

Fix drag-and-drop in Firefox
Using the latest Firefox on Mac OS X, when I drag-and-drop feeds into folders they never seem to hit the right folder. The moved feed always seems to appear in the folder previous.

Small UX issue while navigating with "n" key at end of a feed
When using scrollbar you will see the "No posts below this line. Probably you have read them all." when you reach the end of the feed.
But when using "n" key to navigate from article to article, you won't never know that you reached it. Nothing to inform/warn you.
It happens to me when I'm reading a feed where the last post does not fit in the screen (it may contain images or a lot of text, that prevent you to see the bottom of the article), you won't see the "end of feed" message.
Then you will try to…

Fix infinite scroll preloader behaviour
You are using infinite scroll, it's great.
Which means, you load X element, then when we are close to the end of the loaded elements, you are preloading the next X elements, and so on.
But if you are using "n" key to navigate into a feed, you may face the following issue.
Let say that you want to read a feed that contains a lot of articles thats contain a lot of text or images
You may consider that few of them are interesting, then by reading the title you will know that you don't need to read the…

Prevent the username field from auto-completing on Android during login
When I login with Chrome on Android 4.4.2, I use my email address as my username:
Username: foobar@example.com
But, when I type the period as part of dot com, Android thinks I am writing a sentence and proceeds to autocorrect the email address, typically replacing it with something like:
Username: foo bar @ example.
Yes, a backspace immediately after the period will undo the autocorrect, but I typically am looking at the keyboard and I don't notice the mistake until it is too late.
Perhaps this link can help? textNoSuggestions?

Add Subscription directly to a folder
It would be nice to be able to add a new subscription directly to folders you already have.
Either via some shortcut like '###<foldername>' at the end of the URL or surface it as a dropdown in the Add Subscription UI.

Have an option for' mark read to here'
many RSS readers allow you to hide what you've already scrolled thru so you can close it at any point & go back. Here we have to read all the way thru & then mark 'all as read'.

Use regular log in fields, rather than whatever it is you do with the overlay. Neither Keypass nor Lastpass detects the fields, which is a huge annoyance.

Display current feed in page title
Currently the page title always stays the same when switching between feeds, i.e. the number of total unread stories followed by "The Old Reader". It would be great to add the current feed title, which would for example enable me to search for them in Firefox's location bar.

Make text links clickable.
Google Reader automatically converted any pure text url's in posts into clickable links.
Is it possible for The Old Reader to do the same?
Many posts, Twitter feeds for instance but also others, come with a plain text url. This means I spend a lot of time highlighting the url in Firefox and then right-clicking to select Open url in new Tab.
Random example: The Pacific barreleye fish has a transparent head… http://t.co/9ivzg8aSb6
I hope its possible to add this feature.
