The "Star" button does not remove the added article from Pocket after deleting it.
Currently, flagging an article as an asterisk adds it to the Pocket app. After removing the asterisk, the article is also removed from Pocket. Can this be changed?

Mark posts above currently displayed post as read (similar to "older than" but not by date)
This is a little similar to https://theoldreader.uservoice.com/forums/187017-feature-requests/suggestions/4149552-list-view-bulk-action-mark-some-as-read, except that I think having to mark checkboxes on each post would be incredibly tedious for the use case I have in mind (especially on mobile). https://theoldreader.uservoice.com/forums/187017-feature-requests/suggestions/3803731-provide-a-partial-mark-as-read-mechanism-for-list is also somewhat similar, although that appears to have been "completed" in a way other than what I have in mind here.
As described in the second post, I would like to be able to mark only part of a folder as read, with a behavior similar to "Mark all as read Older than..." feature, but without reference to a specific age of post, rather…

URGENT: Amendment needed to page on your website
Good Afternoon,
Following up from my previous email, regarding the broken PDF on your website.
URL- https://theoldreader.com/profile/bc368d756691d406d3cd7625
Under the anchor - Nobel Prize
The link still appears to be broken. I strongly recommend this is replaced with the following
https://selectra.co.uk/sites/selectra.co.uk/files/pdf/chemistry2013.pdfAs I'm sure your aware a broken link leads to
1. User frustration
2. It gives the impression you don't do regular housekeeping
3. It can harm the credibility of the website
4. It can hurt your SEO and page rankingsPlease let me know when this has been completed. A member of our team will be making a follow-up…

URGENT: Amendment needed to page on your website
Good Afternoon,
I hope this email finds you well.
It has come to my attention that your website contains a link to a pdf about The nobel prize in chemistry, that has become erroneous. This link no longer works as the website no longer exists meaning the relevant information is no longer apparent as it was before. I have seen insight data and am now aware that your website was included in the list of referrers.
As a matter of urgency, I would like to request that you update this link as soon as possible. The link on your website…

Some information is missing
From RSS feeds of JACS journals some articles are missing.
For example:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/acs/jacsat
from 20 articles on the cite mentioned above, 6 are missing when I check The Old Reader cite.
So, it seems that some information is not transferred or transferred incorrectly. I am not sure if it is the case for all scientific cites or only for JACS journals.1 vote -

Multiple UI issues after latest update
The reader has been resetting itself to Dark Mode periodically. It's a quick keystroke to change it back but it still seems like a weird issue. Happens anywhere from every couple of days to multiple times per day, no history clears or anything in between.
The (?) button and the Support option under the user profile also seem to be broken. Both cause the page to hang, accepting no futher inputs.
Thanks,

Increase the limits of the low-end premium plan.
I can't remember how much I'm paying right now without going back and looking, but I think it's $4 per month. That's fine, but perhaps you could raise the price by $1 and increase the limit to 2000 feeds?

Add subscribe button when viewing a post outside your subscriptions
When I'm reading an awesome post on the trending feed or shared by a friend (or anywhere else outside of my own subscriptions), I'd like to have a quick and easy way to subscribe to the posts' feed. It would be nice to have a subscribe button right next to the feed label, or at the bottom with the other buttons (star, mark unread, etc).
This would make it easier to discover new things to read and stay up to date, all within the comfort of The Old Reader!

Implement activitypub to allow people from the fediverse to follow my shares
With ActivityPub protocol being accepted as a W3C standard, it would be a good idea to have it in the old reader.
ActivityPub is implemented in a range of softwares like Mastodon, Pleroma, PeerTube, Funkwhale, Misskey and Plume to name a few. More implementations are coming and it means friends on Mastodon or any of those softwares could follow my profile in the old reader for instance. There's some explanations on implementation details over here :
https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2018/06/how-to-implement-a-basic-activitypub-server/
And here :
https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2018/07/how-to-make-friends-and-verify-requests/And the w3c specs are here:
https://www.w3.org/TR/activitypub/
It would be very nice to have more friends being able to…

Add AI-powered ranking of articles
Do you subscribe to too many feeds or too fast ones? Both? Me too. That's why I wrote a machine learning-based ranking service (https://github.com/piccolbo/rightload). But it needs to be integrated with a reader. It would also be more powerful the more people use it.
