  1. Allow to filter the feeds.

    I would like to filter the feeds based on their title and/or content.

    For example, in my "news" category, I could filter out all articles containing "football". Or for a specific feed, I could filter out the tag [apple] in the title. Those articles would be directly hidden, or marked as read.

    There’s now a subscription management page that allows you to unsubscribe from/move your subscriptions. You can get there by clicking on “Subscriptions” in the user name dropdown in the upper right.

  3. "Only my items"

    Basically, it should be "All items" without "Following".

  4. Open post page in frame

    Open the target article in frame within Ye Olde Reader or at least add the button that will directly take me to the article (that shows on the right of each entry in Google Reader).

    Basically, a lot of the sites I follow doesn't include the whole article in the feed, with a link to continue reading. So please add the button to take me directly to the article as Google Reader has done or load the feed target directly in a frame (loading it after clicking on it's entry).

  5. Take DPI into consideration before collapsing content below sidebar

    On a Nexus 7 the content is shown beneath the list of feeds when held in portrait mode despite a horizontal resolution of 800px.

    On a desktop with a regular monitor, no collapsing occurs when resizing the browser window to 800px wide.

    I am assuming this is due to chrome reporting a lower horizontal resolution to your css media queries due to the higher display density. I have observed that your stylesheets already take dpi into account for your logo, so I am merely suggesting that you do the same for your layout.

  6. The Old Reader's public feed items should have the <source> attribute

    The public feeds (.rss) should have the <source> attribute (well, for better attributing, e.g. when using these links to post on Twitter, Facebook, whatever.

    Like this:

    <source tor:stream-id="feed/http://lifehacker.com/index.xml">
    <id>
    tag:theoldreader.com,2013:reader/feed/http://lifehacker.com/index.xml
    </id>
    <title type="html">Lifehacker</title>
    <link rel="alternate" href="http://lifehacker.com" type="text/html"/>
    </source>

    Thanks for your consideration :)

  7. keyboard navigation doesn't work as I'd expect

    j and k, rather than going to the post before or after the currently expanded post, go to the post before or after the post that is currently at the top of the page.

    When viewing posts in list form, I expect navigation to work in relation to the currently expanded post. As it is, if I scroll the page at all, j and k work in a suprising and not totally predictable way.

  8. Please add "skip to the next post" button at the top of every item in mobile interface

    Just like google reader has. While using desktop version, a "n" shortcut is handy for that but you can't use it on mobile unfortunately. But it is even more important to be able to jump to another item since scrolling is so much slower.

  9. Integration with Flipboard for iOS

    Flipboard is the best feed reading app for iOS, which currently syncs with Google Reader (including marking posts as read, etc) - please could you do a deal with them to make theoldreader work too?

  10. Provide a different color theme option (dislike the green)

    I really don't like the current green color theme. I'm sure some people like it, but it bugs me. Any chance of introducing another color theme?

  11. Per-feed and per-folder display settings

    Some of the settings (view unread vs. view all, feed display order, etc.) appear inconsistent in whether they apply to ALL feeds (i.e. they are global settings) or just the currently active feed. For example, there are certain blogs where I would like to have the older posts display first, so I can read it sequentially if I miss a post or two, but other blogs where I would like the NEWER posts to display first. Sort order appears to be a global setting, though, so I have to switch back and forth each time I change which blog I'm…

  12. uncomment apple-mobile-web-app-capable

    Currently you've commented
    <!--<meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes" />
    <meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-status-bar-style" content="default" />-->
    in the source. I bet there's a god reason for it, but still, I'd like it to be uncommented ;)

  14. Move Pocket button to top of post

    The Pocket button should go at the top of a post. I know almost immediately whether something is interesting but too long to read currently; I know before scrolling down the whole post (which is always going to be long). And I dislike scrolling so much because I'm afraid I might scroll right into the next post and mark things read by accident.

  15. Sort by Most Relevant Posts

    Sort posts by the most relevant, according to the past activity (likes, shares, likes of friends), just like "Sort by Magic" feature in Google Reader (that is broken and do not work anymore).

  16. Create a "current post" indicator

    Google Reader uses a [blue] highlight on the left border of a post to indicate which one is the current, that will receive all the actions from keyboard shortcuts (un/like, un/share, mark as un/read, ...)

    Currently, The Ol' Reader uses instead a [green] highlight on the left border to indicate if the post is marked as un/read and, as far as I can tell, considers the top-most (partially or completely) visible post as the current one. This happens even if the user is using "list" mode and any other post, that is not the first, is the one actually expanded…

  18. eliminate redundancies between shares and reshares

    I feel like I read the same shared article every time it's re-shared, which fills my following folder with unwanted redundancy. I only want to read something once, unless it has received new comments. Can an item have an original sharer and a list of resharers (without violating people's privacy concerns, obvs)
