Add the possibility to manage Twitter feeds too
I just noticed my twitter feeds didn't import, which is a pity. I'm liking The Old Reader as alternative for when the Google one dies...except for that. I like to follow some public people that way because I can easily see their replies to others. I know Twitter doesn't have the RSS button anymore, but feeds are still working (although the url that must be used changed a while ago).

Number of unread articles in favicon.
I like my feed-reader pinned, and of course faviconised.

Add different viewing/formatting panels.
Introduce view options that give say a txt only options or one that is formatted for news feeds (e.g. removes websites advertising and menus, etc), one that displays the original page in the original formatting, etc

Close current item when clicking its title (and toggle visibility with <ENTER>)
When I read posts (in Google Reader) I sometimes "zoom" out by closing the one post I'm currently on. I'd like to have this feature in theoldreader as well. Thanks!

Home more like Google Reader
Google reader's Home folder shows only the latest post from each feed and not all of them (which is handy for feeds that have several new posts a day) and gives priority to feeds I read a lot. That's one of the features I used the most on Google reader and it will be really nice to have it.

Disable custom scrollbars
I prefer the default system scrollbars in Firefox to the floating green scrollbar in TOR, especially since it is not displayed always and lacks the up and down arrows. I would disable this in my browser settings if I could, but I think the site would function better without the current, custom scrollbars.

Help for people overwhelmed by to many articles at once
I use the "All Items" screen to read articles, and while it works, I get overwhelmed easy when I have hundred of articles to look thru and see which I want to read or not. When in list view where you only see the title of the article can you added a option to see only like 10 articles at a time and when you click next to the next group the last 10 are marked as read. Maybe even a option to mark articles into a holding area, so after I quickly skim thru several hundred articles, I can…

Configure set focus on comment box when shared
I don't usually like put comments in my shares. It would be great if the focus in the comment box is configurable. So i can share and continue pressing 'j' to read more articles.

Support Media RSS feeds with multiple file enclosures such as Blip.TV and other video podcasts.
Several sites have Media RSS feeds with multiple file enclosures -- for instance the same video in several different formats. Right now, only a single file is shown. Adding support for Media RSS feeds would make TheOldReader a lot more useful for folks who subscribe to video podcasts and other media-rich feeds.

Pause (or turn off) feed updates
I'd like to be able to pause (or turn off) the updating of a feed. I have a number of job search feeds that pipe in search results from Monster, Careerbuilder, etc. into TOR. This took a long time to set up and I don't want to lose it, but I have a job now so I don't need the feeds to update and clutter up my list of feeds. In essence, I would keep track of the feed even if I don't want the content from it right now. This would also be to your benefit by reducing the…

Don't hide scroll bars
On a PC without a fancy scroll function it is rather hard to scroll up and down the subscription list. You need to move the mouse to where you think the scroll bar is and then look up and down the screen for a small blob of green. Ideally the scroll bar should not be hidden no matter where the pointer is, and the rest of the bar to be a slightly different colour to the background. As we all know just because Google have started doing it does not make it right.

Import all entries contained in a feed
Most of my feeds provide 100 articles at a time, but "the old reader" only imports 20 of them. This has actually prevented me from becoming a regular user of your service. Please import all items contained in a feed.

Charge based on the frequency of feed refreshes
I'm new and really want to use this site as my RSS Feed Reader, but it is very slow to refresh my feeds so I can read new posts. I know you are inundated with new users and to make this site really fast will require lots of server resources. I'm used to Google Reader checking my feeds every few minutes and me noticing there are unread updates waiting to be read. So you can afford to use Cloud-based hosting and use as many servers as you need to be able to update my feeds every few minutes, I suggest…

Share folders of feeds publicly: like Google Reader Bundles
Google Reader had the ability to share folders of feeds publicly (as "Bundles") so users could share unique content sources by topic area. This curation allows new users to quickly get plugged into a topic, and can help experts/social media managers to discriminate sources to interested parties.

Fetch Full Content
I use some chrome plugins with google reader that fetch the full content (or specific parts of the content) from the site when the RSS feed is abbreviated. I would love for this functionality to be built into the old reader (or have those plugins work with the old reader).

Move the mp3 player...
Hey Guys!
Thanks for adding the mp3 player so fast!!!!
Hate to ask a follow up, but if the mp3 player was on the left hand side of the screen, I could play a podcast while still reading and browsing. Right now, I have to start playing the mp3 and then open a new tab, so I can still go through my feeds. Thanks again!
