I suggest you ...

  1. Improve the overall performance (mark all as read, loading a category or feed, etc)

    Possibly this is due to the current swarm of people switching from Google Reader; possibly this is already planned. But while Google Reader felt quite instant, clicking on a different feed or category, or clicking on 'Mark all as read' takes a few seconds to respond.

    The pacman (cute!) appears instantly, but it takes a while to load. I don't know if this is the implementation (is it asynchronous? do you wait for a result from the server? maybe GR updated the UI without waiting for a server result) or just the current server load.

  2. Fix an HTML typo on the Import page

    There is a line of text that currently says: "Please usesubscriptions.xml from your takeout archive." ('subscriptions' is in bold).
    Obviously there needs to be a space between 'use' and 'subscriptions'
    ('takeout' may also want a capital letter..?)

  4. Chinese interface

    Would you please provide a Chineses interface? You know many chinese people use GR because it can show feeds outside the Great Fire Wall, and now when we turn to The Old Reader, because you're one of the few RSS readers that can do the same thing, we hope have a familiar interface. Thank you very much!

  5. Make it possible to share posts on Biz pages on Facebook. I really, really need this feature...

    I use a reader to curate posts of interest to my writer community. I must be able to share directly from the reader to my Facebook BIZ page.

  7. Please disable hover on list item - it's kind of distracting

    To scroll through list items you have to have cursor be over them, and there is always hover, which jumping from one to another item. It kind of distracting :(

  8. Preview text to the right of collapsed items

    It would be nice to see a short preview of an item's body to the right of the title when running in collapsed mode.

    só pra dizer mesmo que o the old reader foi o melhor leitor de feeds entre todos os q testei, parabens! e n mudem ele em nada pfvr.. a aparencia dele é mt bonita!!

  11. Allow manual entry of feed names with (title unknown)

    The feed for http://alistapart.com/site/rss doesn't get a title automatically. I'd like to add one myself.

  12. Interface language settings

    Can I have an option to choose interface language not based only on browsers Accept-Language header?

    If you have many folders, it can be very tedious to browse with all of them expanded

  14. The email should not suggest followback if you're already following that person

    The e-mail now says "Blabla is now following you. Nice! Follow back at URL/blabla", but I'm already following blabla

  16. Block users from following or commenting

    As an alternative to private accounts, allow users to share publicly but block others from following or commenting on their items.

    This has now been released. If you go to your settings, you can choose to protect your shared items. If selected, you must approve all new follow requests, and your shared items will not be available to anyone except your followers.

    If you “like” a post, your name may still appear on the post for all users.

    Additionally, any existing followers can be removed by going to your followers page.

  17. Add a link to a list of all dead feeds

    The list of dead feeds on the home page is super handy! I'd love to see a list of all my dead feeds.

  18. default autoplay=false on video/audio clips

    A few feeds have had embedded videos that autoplay when I click on the feed, which can be annoying, especially if the video is many posts down the line, and difficult to find and pause.

    I'm so glad you guys made this, btw. Reader was the greatest thing on the internet while it lasted.
