I suggest you ...

  1. default autoplay=false on video/audio clips

    A few feeds have had embedded videos that autoplay when I click on the feed, which can be annoying, especially if the video is many posts down the line, and difficult to find and pause.

    I'm so glad you guys made this, btw. Reader was the greatest thing on the internet while it lasted.

  2. enclosures

    i'd use it if it showed enclosures, can't listen to podcasts with it ot view enclosed images

  3. The email should not suggest followback if you're already following that person

    The e-mail now says "Blabla is now following you. Nice! Follow back at URL/blabla", but I'm already following blabla

  5. Allow manual entry of feed names with (title unknown)

    The feed for http://alistapart.com/site/rss doesn't get a title automatically. I'd like to add one myself.

  9. Make it possible to share posts on Biz pages on Facebook. I really, really need this feature...

    I use a reader to curate posts of interest to my writer community. I must be able to share directly from the reader to my Facebook BIZ page.

  10. Fix an HTML typo on the Import page

    There is a line of text that currently says: "Please usesubscriptions.xml from your takeout archive." ('subscriptions' is in bold).
    Obviously there needs to be a space between 'use' and 'subscriptions'
    ('takeout' may also want a capital letter..?)

  11. Provide a partial mark-as-read mechanism for list view

    In Google Reader's mobile view, you get essentially a list view, but it only shows 15 posts at a time, and lets you mark just those 15 as read. Something similar is needed for The Old Reader's list view. Either give us the ability to see them in smaller chunks, like Google does, or enable the "scrolling past posts marks them as read" feature for list view as well as full view.   16. Add an "always start in folder ..." option

    As a user who checks feeds at work, I want to see only my tech feeds when I open my reader so that I don't have to select the tech folder each time

  17. Rename a feed

    I would like to be able to rename feeds to something other than the title they serve in the feed, which is not always meaningful or sufficiently identifying.

  18. Show number of unreading items in title before word "The Old Reader"

    Now numbers of unreading messages showing in title after words "The Old Reader (xxx)".
    When many tabs open in brouser this numbers was hided.
    Please move number of unread message in first position, before words "The Old Reader" in brouser.

  19. Use ? to dismiss the shortcut menu

    ? does a find job of bringing up the list of shortcut keys.

    It would be nice if it would also DISMISS the list. Right now only ESC works.

    That way you can keep you hands on homerow, hit ? to quickly remind yourself what key to use, then ? again to dismiss it.
