  2. Auto Scrolling

Have the option to have the feeds scroll down automatically, perhaps at variable speeds and then be able to stop the scrolling when an article you want to read comes up.

  3. Charge based on the frequency of feed refreshes

I'm new and really want to use this site as my RSS Feed Reader, but it is very slow to refresh my feeds so I can read new posts. I know you are inundated with new users and to make this site really fast will require lots of server resources. I'm used to Google Reader checking my feeds every few minutes and me noticing there are unread updates waiting to be read. So you can afford to use Cloud-based hosting and use as many servers as you need to be able to update my feeds every few minutes, I suggest…

  4. It would be nice if we could select more than one feed to move to a folder at a time.

If we could highlight a "bunch" of our rss feed titles, to be moved to a folder, and perhaps right click-copy-paste to the new folder.

Google reader let the opportunity to subscribe to email alerts. Adding the features would be a blast : receiving all the news directly in one's inbox is a huge comfort.

  6. hide or delete specific trending items.

I'd like to be able to hide or delete items in the trending feed that include nudity or adult language.

  8. Recommend posts to friends

Currently friends can see each other's "shared" posts, but sometimes there is a specific post that looks interesting to a specific friend; it would be nice to be able to notify that one person about that one post.

For example, today I saw a post about 3D printers in one of my subscribed feeds, and I would like to let my wife (who's also a user of The Old Reader) know about it.

I could e-mail her the post's URL, but it would be much simpler if there was a "recommend to user" option, which would in turn make the…

Apparently, AND and OR is working but not "NOT". And please explain this feature in your Tour page! Thanks!

  10. Resize text

It would be nice to be able to make the text of blog posts bigger, especially as the sidebar cannot be tucked away to allow for more screenroom.

  11. Embed Popouts

The original reader has a feature where known embeds have a link which pops the embed out into a new small browser window. This allows you to listen to video/audio while continuing to browse your feeds.

  12. Reference friends in comments (like @someone or +someone)

The basic idea is reference a friend that I follow and him follows me back in a comment.

When the reference is made, him/her recieve a mail with the post link. =)

  13. Home more like Google Reader

Google reader's Home folder shows only the latest post from each feed and not all of them (which is handy for feeds that have several new posts a day) and gives priority to feeds I read a lot. That's one of the features I used the most on Google reader and it will be really nice to have it.

  15. Private Blogs

Is there a way to store private blog addresses? I would like to have a central location for storing blog even if I have to click out.

  16. Remove feed title from article title in list view

Right now in list view, the feed title is right next to every article title. This can be jarring when this combination causes long feed titles crowd article titles from view. Google Reader doesn't even show feed titles in list view, only the article titles. I think it'd be great to either remove the feed titles or put them on a line under the article title.

  17. A link to an original enclosure

Each entry should display a link to an original enclosure if there's one. E.g. see flickr.com feeds. There's a <link rel="enclosure"> for each entry, and Google Reader displays a separate link for it at the end of the entry. TheOldReader should do the same for easier access to enclosures.

  18. Enhance "touchability"

Make the fold/unfold arrows easier to touch on touch-enabled screens on tablets. One needs to zoom in just to touch it correctly, and is annoying.

  20. streamline folder making

It's not hard to make folders and get the hang of moving stuff. It's just that it's memory intensive and it takes a lot of time to organize stuff
