streamline folder making
It's not hard to make folders and get the hang of moving stuff. It's just that it's memory intensive and it takes a lot of time to organize stuff

Disable custom scrollbars
I prefer the default system scrollbars in Firefox to the floating green scrollbar in TOR, especially since it is not displayed always and lacks the up and down arrows. I would disable this in my browser settings if I could, but I think the site would function better without the current, custom scrollbars.

Please make it possible to hide the "Seite: xxx and Feed: xxx" on the top of the feed-abonement. for me its not aesthetic. Maybe you can make a checkbox for this option in the settings. thx.

Small changes in design and layout
Small changes in design and layout
I realy like Old Reader, closest to GR for me, so I have something to suggest for even better user experience (at least in my opinion)
original
http://i.imgur.com/gLqjdU0.pngexplanation:
1) I think this section is useless, selected feed easily can be seen in subscriptions tree. Plus this dark bubbles kinda distract a little bit.
2) If we remove (1) we can lift up (2) buttons and it's give us extra vertical space (which is important in 1080p age :)
3) This icon looks like list items is blended together, don't know if it's bug…1 vote -
Sort posts by the time of update
Sort posts by the time of appearance in the reader. Currently - if I understand it correctly - the posts are sorted by the time of publication. Due to the delays in the feed updates, it often happens that updated posts don't appear on top of the list and I miss them.

View unread + liked posts
I often use the star/like feature to mark read posts that I want to refer back to. I would like the option to see all the posts that are relevant to me (that means unread as well as liked) when viewing a feed.
The liked posts view is unfortunately pretty worthless to me as it shows me all liked posts. Without the context of the feed there are just too many posts here for me to find anything or get any sort of overview.

Dont show feeds on All Items when they are in a closed/colapsed folder.
When you close a folder from feeds, they sould not be seen on the All Items.
It's a good way to see multiple feeds, keeping those that you don't want to see at the moment away.

increase the size of the reading pane
I am really thrilled with the idea of something to take over for Google Reader and am glad you guys took on the project.
On a 13" widescreen laptop with Chrome filling the entirety of vertical space and the majority of horizontal space, the reading pane is fairly small. Between the large Masthead/search bar and then the feed-specific information bar, it takes a lot of scrolling to read through an article. I'd love for the ability to customize space or at least offer a full browser window reading pane option with shortcut, like GReader.Thank you!

Configure set focus on comment box when shared
I don't usually like put comments in my shares. It would be great if the focus in the comment box is configurable. So i can share and continue pressing 'j' to read more articles.

implement basic syntax highlighting for pre, code and/or samp tags
I subscribe to a growing number of programming-related blogs, and posts with larger pieces of code become much less comfortable to read than on the origin website. I think (even very basic) syntax highlighting would remedy this.

add an option to display similar feeds
In Google reader, next to the feed title, there the option arrow related to this feed. Among those options, one I find really usefull displays the similar feeds (similar or related content) and subscribe to this feed.
Such an option would be nice in The Old Reader
