  2. Explain how to confirm a new account. When I registered it said I have to confirm but did not say how.

    “Uservoice isn’t a support center. Either way you should receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. In my case I had to wait for the e-mail around 20 minutes, so by the time you’ve posted this you should have already received it. ;)”

  4. Trending Sort?

    Trending doesn't seem to follow the user's setting "Posts order." I don't know if this is intentional or the sort order is based off some magic trending algorithm.

  6. Update CNN more often!

    When I used Google Reader CNN was updated almost instantly. Now I rarely have anything from CNN and it looks like the last time you updated was almost 12 hours ago. This is pointless!

  7. Rename a feed

    I would like to be able to rename feeds to something other than the title they serve in the feed, which is not always meaningful or sufficiently identifying.

  9. Allow me to transfer a Google-linked account to an Old Reader account

    I initially created my account as a Google-linked account, and I now regret having done so, as I'm trying to get away from having Google track all of my activity online. It would be nice if I could create an Old Reader account without the link to my Google account and transfer my feeds to that.

  11. Full text search

    allow me to search the full text of the posts. currently search only searches the text of the post's titles, which i usually don't recall. if i remember a random detail that caught my interest, and want to find the post based on that, it should be doable. google reader functions this way, and it would never have occurred to me that the old reader would only search titles. despite loving the old reader overall, this single shortcoming could really make or break my experience.

  12. Click any part of the feed to open it, not just the title.

    A small but nice feature of Google Reader is being able to open a feed item by clicking any part of it, not just the title. This allows for faster access and an overall smoother experience.

  13. Charge for the darn thing if it keeps it from going under.

    Look, I don't like paying for things. But I can't keep going through this. If you need people to pay, by gum, let us know.

  14. Do you read all these suggestions?

    It just really felt like the idea I just posted was going into a void and would never be read.

    Perhaps a problem with using uservoice for customer interaction instead of email support.

  15. Star entries

    Ability to star entries for later reading + sharing (pocket integration is nice but probably no enough i you read your article on pocket then want to share it, wading back through old entries can be painful).

  16. Make the 'Mark All As Read' confirmation prompt optional

    Suddenly clicking Mark All As Read pops up an extra unnecessary confirmation box.

    It would be nice to be able to turn that off, as it is annoying.

  17. allow paste in password field

    When I try to log in, it won't let me paste the password into the password field. That's stupid. It's not improving security, just making your tool harder to use.

  18. turn off desktop notifications

    I don't want desktop notification, but clicking the wrench icon and selecting disable removes it from my running applications in Chrome. How do I just turn off notifications?

  19. Extended search facilities

    Is it possibler to search in the article descriptions as well as in the headline.

  20. Make it possible to hide the subscription sidebar

    In Google Reader the "u" key toggles subscription list display, and it remembers the setting, so that next time I open it the sidebar is hidden. I only look at the subscription list when I am managing my subscriptions, which is rarely. During normal reading it is completely uninteresting.
