    I'm leery of free services that don't explain what their business model is. Am I the customer, or the product?

  2. Add support for Buffer

    bufferapp.com is one of teh most widely used publishing services. It supprts a range of scoial media channels and also allows you to schedule your posts.

  3. Speed up interface & Improve feed updating

    The interface is rather slow, doing simple things often involves a lot of waiting. Feeds are very slow to update. I have done side by side comparisons with Google reader and found Old Reader to be missing a large number of items.

  4. improve feed update

    seems that the update speed and accuracy (sometimes i dont see new updates when there are new updates) needs to be improved. when compared to google reader (which might be a little unfair to make that comparison at this point) is much faster. keep up the good work....hoping this becomes my new RSS source.

  5. Opera extension

    Similar like the chrome extension, just show how much unread items there are, and when clicked, open the old reader page

  6. Chrome/Facebook extensions should support https

    Chrome and Facebook plugins should allow user to set up it to work over https.

  7. Add support for Twitter

    Sharing posts to Twitter as well as logging in with Twitter. My own use is definitely Twitter sharing first. Do very little sharing on FB and G+.

  8. Reverse sorting

    Users should be able to see posts in reverse order (old posts first, then the newer ones).

  9. Make it a Chrome application

    The chrome applications are not much more than a glorified bookmark, but it's nice to have the big icon on the new tab page

  10. include user's notes in rss stream of shared items

    self-explanatory, i think. (this would allow users, for example, to build a microblog/annotated link-dump directly from the old reader.)

  12. Share/Like from all pages

    "Share" and "Like" buttons should be shown on all feed lists (including "Trending" and user profiles).

  13. load icon fonts over https when serving over https

    Currently, fonts for icons are apparently loaded from http://s.theoldreader.com even when using https. If one's browser is configured to block mixed active content, this may cause icons not to render (even while letting, e.g., external images in feeds will work fine). For example, setting the security.mixedcontent.blockactivecontent hidden pref in Firefox (to be default in Firefox 23 -- https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/showbug.cgi?id=834836) will break icons.

  14. add hover text to the buttons above the feed on the right.

    It took me forever to realized the the up/down arrow was for changing the display via date (which is what I wanted, and almost put in a request for). Perhaps some hover text over the buttons could make this clearer what each button does.

  15. Position in import queue not visible any more

    I used to see my position in the import queue. It was once around 30.000. In time it went down to around 12.000. But now, when I click the import link the only thing I see is the following text:

    We find feed import to be quite resource intensive procedure, so our system only allows a limited number of import operations to run at the same time. Currently all available slots are busy, so your import operation will be queued.

    Doesn't indicate any progress and it doesn't look good this way. Please bring back printing the queue position.

  17. Allow folders to be arranged like individual feeds

    Currently I can rearrange my individual feeds how I like but I cannot place a folder wherever I want. Would be cool to allow that. Thanks!

  18. Password-protected feeds

    I would love to be able to follow the full RSS feeds for password-protected sites (e.g., Livejournal, where each individual users' feed can contain a mix of open and password-protected entries).

  19. When "Clicking on a post scrolls to it" is enabled, only scroll up when the post is not active

    Currently, when I click on a post I'm reading it scrolls up to the top of the post, which is annoying and makes me lose my place.

  20. to let to send subscriptions to Kindle

    The best thing in Google Reader was the possibility to get my feed to my Kindle: http://www.klip.me/googlereader/welcome

    It would be perfect to be able to use this feature with your reader after Google retire their reader.
